Mechanically, there is no maximum limit to the diameter a plate roll can produce, as larger diameters require less material deformation and lower bending forces. However, practical operational limits are imposed by material weight and structural stability. As shell diameters expand, large-diameter thin-walled cans tend to collapse or deform under their own weight during rolling. To overcome this physical limit, Davi provides integrated auxiliary handling systems, including hydraulic side supports and vertical overhead cranes.
