To compensate for the flexibility of small-diameter rolls, the MAV AER features a sophisticated system of anti-deflection beams and back-up rolls. This ensures perfectly uniform pressure across the entire width of the plate (up to 12 m / 40 ft and beyond).

Like a precision press-brake, the top roll moves vertically while the two side rolls move independently. This allows for a variable roll geometry that adapts to the specific thickness and radius of every aerospace component.
