We are all very proud to say that NASA has partnered with DAVI to utilize two DAVI Model MCB 3045 four roll machines both equipped with our unique new Genius Leonardo CNC and our exclusive "in process" laser measuring device, to roll various components of the project.
Nasa will utilize one new DAVI MCB 3045 machines to manage the work and fabrication of the Spacecraft Adapter and the Service Module. The Service Module will provide maneuvering with its propulsion system, generate power using solar arrays, and keep the vehicle cool with heat rejection radiators.
The second new DAVI MCB 3045, will build parts of the Crew Exploration Vehicle and the Command Module Landing System, providing oversight and independent analysis of the system's development.
The first flight with astronauts aboard is planned for no later than 2014. Orion's first flight to the moon is planned for no later than 2020.
